Morning glint as #18 prepares to start the day and connect to the passenger cars used to transport rail fans on the "Photographer's Special."
Golden noodles, or so it appears. Morning light reflects of the rails near the shops in Alamosa.
The second photo location, known as "Sand Out Hill", works perfectly for a long-lens shot as 3 antique cars try to pace the train. A "BIG THANK YOU" to the wonderful folks that came out with these cars.
With fall colors in full effect, #18 charges through a series of curves on the final leg up to the summit at Fir.
